Permitting support for homeowners and light construction projects

Vantage Point Energy acts as your general contractor of record for projects that need permits and inspections
but don’t need a full-scale remodel contractor.

General contractor of record for permit-driven projects

Many home projects need a licensed general contractor on paper—even when the work is mostly electrical or mechanical. We provide light GC and permitting services so you don’t have to self-GC, chase paperwork, or navigate building departments alone.

  • Hot tubs, spas, and new exterior circuits
  • EV chargers and service upgrades that trigger building permits
  • Solar, storage, and renewable energy projects in residential settings
  • Small trenching, concrete pads, and equipment foundations
  • Panel relocations and meter moves that require structural review
  • Small accessory structures, equipment pads, and utility upgrades

Built for homeowners, trusted by trades

Homeowners

  • One point of contact from permit application to final inspection
  • Help understanding what the city or county is asking for

Trade partners & professionals

  • Electrical, solar, and mechanical contractors needing a GC of record
  • Designers, engineers, and consultants who want clean permit packages
  • Real estate investors needing repeatable, code-compliant upgrades

We’re happy to work directly with you as the homeowner, or alongside your chosen electrician or contractor.

Grounded in community, family, and a sustainable future

Community and family values

Vantage Point Energy was created with a simple idea: treat every project like it’s our own. Our work is guided by:

  • Community – Respect for local code officials, neighbors, and the built environment.
  • Family – Safety, reliability, and clear communication with every household we serve.
  • Renewables & sustainability – Support for electrification, clean energy, and smarter use of resources.
  • Customer service – Responsive scheduling, proactive updates, and professional documentation.

Simple, four-step permitting process

  1. Project review – You share basic information about your project (photos, address, scope). We confirm whether a GC-of-record is required and outline next steps.
  2. Permit strategy & pricing – We identify the applicable jurisdiction, permit types, and any required drawings or documents. You receive clear pricing for Vantage Point Energy’s permitting role.
  3. We file and coordinate – We prepare and submits permit applications, coordinates with your electrician or trade partners, and responds to plan review comments.
  4. Inspection and close-out – We help schedule inspections, support correction items if needed, and make sure your permits are properly closed with the Authority Having Jurisdiction, AHJ.
